As Information Technology in General Practice is continually increasing the General Practice Cairns Ltd (GPC) board has decided to offer a fee-for-service IT Support service to its members at a reduced commercial rate. This service will be provided by the General Practice Cairns IM/IT Staff and will be available during office hours - 8am to 5pm. The service will be provided on the basis of need ranging from network troubleshooting to upgrades of software. Services are only provided to businesses that have signed the ‘GPC IT Support Agreement’. To find out more about this service contact General Practice Cairns on 07 4080 1500. What is covered by the IT Support Service? - Onsite support and maintenance (servers, workstations, firewalls, networks, systems) What is NOT covered by the IT SUpport Service? - specific dedicated/funded IM/IT Projects (eg: iHealth Care rollout) Terms and Conditions and Agreement Before any work can be carried out a legal reprsentative from your practice (Practice Manager / Principal Doctor) must agree to the Terms and Conditions and then sign the IT Support Agreement form and return it to General Practice Cairns on: You can download the current terms and conditions here. Am I member of General Practice Cairns (GPC)? A member as it currently stands, under the current GPC Constitution (2007), is any General Practitioner who has applied and been accepted as a member of General Practice Cairns Ltd since the establishment of GPC in 1992. At present all other health providers are classed as non-members. GPC is currently reviewing is constitution and classification of a member will be revised to reflect GPC's current business focus and processes. You can download the current membership forms here.
